The Symposium
THE 2021 SYMPOSIUM WILL BE VIRTUAL AND IS A BILINGUAL EVENT!
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect travel and large gatherings, we recognize that staying connected is more important than ever for members, exhibitors, sponsors, attendees and partners. The decision to go ahead with a virtual event provides a secure and innovative solution for the industry to access our programming and networking.
The Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) invite you to participate, from June 14 to 16, 2021, in the 2021 Symposium on Mines and the Environment.
The symposium is the result of a collaboration between the Institute for Research in Mines and the Environment (IRME) UQAT-Polytechnique, the Mineral Technology Research and Service Unit (URSTM) and many actors from governments and mining companies.
The objectives of the symposium are to share the latest knowledge and discuss practical experiences in order to find solutions to reconcile the exploitation of resources and the protection of the environment.
Presentations will be given in either English or French, as noted in the technical program, and will include translated subtitles.
